About CraftsChain

Every crochet project starts with a chain. CraftsChain is the layer that comes before it: original patterns for a quiet evening, charts that tell you which hook to pick up, and honest answers to the problems that make people put a project down.

What we publish

• Free patterns — original, approachable projects with materials, sizing, construction and finishing in one place.
• Charts and calculators — hook conversions, yarn weights, blanket dimensions, yardage and gauge.
• Troubleshooting — the recurring problems, with the actual cause rather than a platitude.

Where the numbers come from

Hook sizes and yarn weight categories follow common conventions used by yarn manufacturers and pattern publishers. Where a figure is an estimate rather than a standard, we say so and show the method, so you can check it against your own swatch.

Our pattern policy

The tutorials and patterns published here are CraftsChain material. We write the instructions in our own words, use our own assets, and keep each article focused enough to be useful at the worktable.

If something is unclear or inaccurate, write to us and we will review it.

Corrections

If a chart here disagrees with your hook, your yarn band or your finished project, tell us. Reference material is only worth something if it is right. Email hello@craftschain.com.
